About the event

A vast network of forests, rivers, ranches, and farms that connect the Everglades to the Georgia and Alabama borders. It’s 18 million acres of life-sustaining land and water where wildlife can still roam freely and people can hike, paddle, and thrive. There are ten counties* especially vulnerable to this pressure in urgent need of conservation—some with connections that could be lost forever without compatible planning. If we don’t act now, half a million acres could be gone by 2030, and another 400,000 acres by 2050.

Jason Lauritsen, Chief Conservation Officer of The Corridor will talk about what has been done and what we can do to protect our precious lands going forward.
