Rebecca Speer, a Recreation Assistant at Naples Preserve, will discuss the behaviors of Gopher Tortoises (Gopherus polyphemus) at The Naples Preserve.

 

So, you think that you know everything about gopher tortoises?  The Naples Preserve has been monitoring and studying their gopher tortoises since 2009 and what we have witnessed may surprise you.  This presentation through photos and videos will dispel some of what you have read about this threatened species.


Brittany Piersma, our wildlife biologist will give a brief update about our conservation management plan on Marco and Isles of Collier also.
